Here's my review. I traveled solo, and I'm leaving today. I've traveled to many beaches, and resorts in Mexico, and Cancun was one of my last. My opinion aligns only aligns with my priorities in a resort. My priorities were beautiful views of a turquoise, and clear ocean, good food and drinks, with a relaxing, but not boring vibe. Larger, campus-style resorts are great, if that's what you're looking for, which I wasn't this time. This resort was a a medium-sized, efficient resort where you didn't have to walk miles to the onsite amenities, but it still offered a good number of dining options. So, I think they hit the sweet spot there. It is beautiful and well maintained. I've read comments about the rooms being dated, but I didn't feel this way, and feel those comments aligned with those expecting the new, ultra modern styles and layouts. The rooms are extremely comfortable and the views of the ocean are incredible. I stayed in 826 (top floor, right in the middle). The top floor balconies are a little nicer than lower floors. I paid for a junior suite, ocean view. I rode jetskis every day ($80/30-40 mins), which is a priority for me on trips, and booked through the resort. A drone captures video and pictures while you're riding, which you can purchase, and I did because they were such high-quality. This is great for those wanting easy social media content (not me). With each day I booked, I gained more leverage negotiating. The three pools offer optionality, like Goldilocks and the Three Bears: quiet to raging. The staff are all incredibly attentive, nice, and helpful. I overtip (in life), as I've had a service job before. That obviously elevates your experience, as you're never without. I didn't fully partake in the entertainment, but I did some, and it also offered a good range, from chill, to themed parties.

This was the first time we got an all-inclusive stay, and we loved it! The food was amazing, great choices, no waiting lines, great variety. Drinks also are free, so if that's your thing, you can drink cocktails all day long. There are 3 pools, pretty good size and nice, also a great beach (we spent most time at the beach). The entertainment was also pretty good, variety, and some days it was exceptional and fun with professional dancers and singers, other days so-and-so. There is also a pool party 3x a week in another Riu hotel and they offer a shuttle to take you there. It's an experience for sure, but if you do go, make sure you leave before the end otherwise you'll be in the shuttle with a bunch of drunk loud kids from the other hotels (this hotel has a bit older crowd, and those who value luxury and relaxation). Overall, staying in this hotel you'll feel like royalty, it's very clean, amazingly beautiful, the staff is extremely polite and helpful. Both my wife and our (adult) kids loved it, we all felt it was one of our best experiences ever.

Food was amazing! Every single meal for breakfast, lunch and dinner was unbelievable. So many choices and every meal we ate was great. Breakfast was a huge buffet that had everything you can think of as options. Lunch was also buffet that was very large and great. On the weekend they also have a cookout on the patio for lunch. One day it was barbecue and the other was seafood. The dinners at all the restaurants were 5 star. There are 3 pools with one being the activity pool with music and games. The middle pool and another smaller one were tame and relaxed. All 3 are infinity pools overlooking the sea. Beach was perfect and always had chairs available. At both the beach and pool there was always someone bringing you drinks. There is also a lounge that’s open 24 hours if you get hungry and room service is also 24 hours. Couldn’t imagine a better place to stay. Everything was excellent!

Gorgeous hotel. We were lucky to have a Suite with the Ocean View. Amazing. The territory is not that big but well organized. The location is very good. You may not want to leave the hotel, though :). It is close to nightclubs and souvenir shops. The ocean is great, clean, and warm. I even found a small coral reef. The food is delicious. We haven't managed to try every restaurant. I love all-inclusive bars. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I especially value that the hotel is not greedy. We arrived at 9 am and the hotel welcomed us no matter that check-in time was at 3 pm. So, we were able to have breakfast and enjoy the hotel until our room was ready. We also had a late flight, and they allowed us to use hotel facilities after checkout.

Staff were very good, well trained and efficient without being too clinical. Smiles and friendly help were the norm. Nelly at the Coffee Shop was a Gem, plus great service from Raul at the beach bar. Rooms comfortable and clean. Had a small issue in the room that was quickly sorted out by the maintenance team. Food was good at the buffet and at a couple of the restaurants (Steak, Japanese and Fusion) but not a place for a real foodie. Pool area and beach were nice, the orientation means that large areas are shady for large parts of the day but lots of room for sun lovers (mainly on the beach) Entertainment was enjoyable but not that much variety and the sound was often poor. The Entertainment staff worked hard to make things enjoyable and fun.
